i hav few capacitors from CFL which is connected parallel to the polyster capacitor 2n2K,AND VALUE WRITTIN AS HL PR1 in one and SP MZ6 in another ,, the capacitors as i think ..both are round in shape and light green coloreed and surface is rough not smooth like that of other none electrolite caps can u give me some
Understanding Capacitor Markings. Capacitors are routinely marked with at least their capacitance value; many capacitors are also marked with value tolerance notation, and a breakdown voltage. Additionally, capacitors that are polarized—they have a + and a – lead—also carry a polarization marking.
The Ceramic Caps. The smaller values in the kit are 50V rated ceramic capacitors. These are small, nonpolarized caps with yellow blob for their body. ceramic caps. From Left to Right: 10 pF, 22 pF, 100 pF, 1 nF, 10 nF, 100 nF. The value is printed on each in a three-digit code. This code is similar to the color code on
Electronics Tutorial about Capacitor Colour Codes, Colour Code Descriptions, Capacitor Markings, Identification and Tolerances. Also, sometimes capacitors are marked with the capital letter K to signify a value of one thousand pico-Farads, so for example, a capacitor with the markings of 100K Green, 25, 600, 16, 15.
See below if you suspect your capacitor uses a code for voltage (a single letter or one digit and one letter). If there is no symbol at all, reserve the cap for low-voltage circuits only. If you are building an AC circuit, look for a capacitor rated specifically for VAC. Do not use a DC capacitor unless you have an in-depth knowledge
This calculator is used to find the value of a capacitor from the 3 digit code printed on its side. Enter the code in the box below and then hit the button to calculate the value of the capacitor. If the rightmost digit is zero, then the code may be a value in pF instead of the 3-digit code example: 100 should indicate 10pF but it
Tantalum Capacitor Color Codes. Charts, Color, Color, 1st Figure, 2nd Figure, Multiplier, Voltage. Black, 0, 1, 10. Brown, 1, 1, 10. Red, 2, 2, 100. Orange, 3, 3. Parallel Capacitance Math: CT = C1 + C2 + C3. Series Capacitance Math: 1/CT = 1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3, Yellow, 4, 4, 6.3. Green, 5, 5, 16. Blue, 6, 6, 20. Violet, 7, 7.
Capacitor Code Guide. When I first started doing electronics, capacitors ("caps") were a real puzzle, and I often just substituted them in a breadboarded circuit until I found one that worked. Finally it occurred to me to do up this chart. Now I have a DMM that reads capacitance, which makes identifying capacitors much simpler
