Love is in the air and so are some battles in this season collection of My Life As a Teenage Robot! Sheldon fights for Jenny's heart as she faces countless villains struggling to break her pieces
Debuting on Nickelodeon in 2003, "My Life as a Teenage Robot" follows the escapades of Jenny, a super-powered robot with a super sensitive teenage heart. Her primary function is protecting the planet from any disaster. But, like all teenagers, she has her own ideas about how she would like to live her life. She's bored with being a superhero and wants to do something really exciting - like go to high school! Unfortunately, an endles array of global disasters and otherworldly villains keep cropping up to ruin her teenaged fun.
One thing: It's another cheesy superhero-fighting-crime crap-o-palooza show. Another thing: There is way too much giving up too soon with the job stuff. To some, I may not be making sense here with my grammar. But to others, I'm proving my point very well. My 4-year-old sister watches repeats of this show every Saturday morning and the plots never change. A bad guy is trying to destroy XJ9, the teenage robot who likes to be called Jenny, and the bad guys want to take over the world but Jenny stops them just in time...blah, blah, blah. No offends to the guys who keep thinking of superhero shows, but honestly why doesn't anyone come up with better ideas for a show? This show is all reruns, and if you want to kill 30 minutes of your time, go right ahead and watch this junky cartoon.
What is Nickelodeon's problem these days? In this show, the jokes are corny, and the situations are either stereotypical or unrealistic. The channel has also created lots of other terrible shows as of late, such as Chalkzone, the fairly oddparents, and Yakkity Yak. What happened to the old nickelodeon? As of right now the only good shows are Hey Arnold and Spongebob.(However, Arnold is starting to lose his popularity and Spongebob is showing signs of turning really stupid, so there appears to be little hope for Nick in the future).
