NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons, fresh off the success of his last renegade recruitment, once again finds himself in need of an outsider. Gibbons and his new agent must track a dangerous military splinter group, led by General George Deckert, that is conspiring to overthrow the U.S. Government in the nation's capital.
Agent Augustus Gibbons has selected an imprisoned former US Navy SEAL Darius Stone, a new agent in the XXX program, travels to Washington D.C., where they track a splinter faction of the U.S. military that attempts to overthrow the U.S. government and assassinate the President, led by Secretary of Defense and former 4-Star General George Deckert, Stone's former commanding officer whom he once led a mutiny against. But he's been targeted for assassination by a radical splinter group of dissenters deep within the United States government. The new XXX agent must uncover the insurgents from within. It is the nation's only hope to stop the first coup d'etat in American history.
Sam Jackson was made into an icon in Pulp Fiction but has been truly awful ever since. What a tragedy. This film is terrible, only watched 10 minutes and thats more than enough. Total and absolute sh*t. Gave it 1 out of 10 should be -10 out of 10. I expect crap from Vin D but my god this is utter balls and he's not even in it. Jackson should be ashamed. People are dying of starvation and the US film industry can waste millions on trash like this. And WTF is Willem Dafoe doing in this joke of a film, we all have bills to pay but surely Willem has the talent not to have to get involve in this type of arse cheddar. Rubbish like this sums up what wrong with the world for me.
First of all, this is an action movie when you choose too watch such a movie don't expect realism. expect action and nothing less. Second i thought ice cube was cool as XXX agent, i don't know why everybody is acting like he is an idiot he kicks ass. and third i hope there will be a third installment so i can enjoy XXX over the top action "one more time".
The acting is okay for this kind of movie, credible are Samuel, ice and Scott maybe William but he can do way better ( See PLatoon ).
The Action was just too much but i like it a lot, so if you like the first one you will definitely like this one.
The story was really simple but thats the way these movies have to go, no ingenious plots just simple to follow a movie to watch with some friends with a few drinks and some laughs

Most of the movie is standard action fare, but the political commentary is interesting when it's allowed to surface.
Similar to the situation with the prequel -- the British Board of Film Classification insisted on cuts for the BBFC-12 rating and therefore one scene had to be altered in order to obtain this rating.
