23 Mar 2013 Hi all. I'm looking for help configuring and using aprs on a yaesu vx-8dr. I have the gps unit attached and working via the optional microphone and it is successfully reporting gps coordinates on the radio display. I have tried to configure aprs but i don't see any forwarded to the internet. I do not see any local

APRS on VX-8DR, Not showing up on findu or aprs.fi. a new Yaesu VX-8DR. I don't have a GPS unit yet but I've setup all the APRS settings I can, along with my home coordinates. I currently have transmit set to manual and I've been manually transmitting a beacon from within the APRS station screen.

3 Jun 2011 I am having trouble with my Yaesu vx-8r and APRS. I have followed Yaesu's owner's manual to the "T" but, can't get it to work. I have also tried and The beacon is probably not being picked up / connecting even thoug my digi path was setup to wide1-1, then wide2-1, and now wide2-2. S.. :confused: .
