My Y2 class found it tricky writing instructions following the Hamilton Plan for Spring. So I'm going to create a set of instructions then ask them to find the features using this checklist that I'll edit e.g. underline the How to heading in red. Is there an introduction? If so, underline it in green. Colour the numbers/bullet points
I know that instructions, rules and procedural texts can be presented in different ways (including as pictures and diagrams) and can be combined with other text types - that . instructions and point out features the author has used to make them easier to follow, e.g. lists, numbered, bulleted points, diagrams with arrows, keys.
