31 Mar 2015 GIMP, or GNU Image Manipulation Program, is a freely available, open-source image-editing program, similar to Adobe Photoshop. Image files may be edited or converted into other file types using the GIMP application. In addition, images, such as GIFs and JPGs, may be converted and printed as PDFs
18 Mar 2013 This script enables export layers to a single multiple pages PDF file. It requires "convert" executable file, therefore you have to install the ImageMagic package before using this script. It is based on the cr33dog Export Layers as PNG plugin script. 9 Jun 2009 I edited some pdf files in gimp and I have to say it's a big step for gimp to be able to edit pdfs. 7 Feb 2010 Get the scanned pages opened as layers of one image in GIMP. If they are available as files already, you can use File / Open as Layers. Save As and choose “MNG animation" or just add “.mng" to the filename. (In case you are wondering, MNG is the animated counterpart to PNG).
This is overkill for what you need, but in the absence of another answer, GIMP can do this for you. Just install it, open the PDF, and save-as a PNG.
