In this book we have attempted not only to up-date previous material on WSN communications & applications, but also to include some new chapters which responds at all burning questions and expectations targeting researchers and industrialists working in this field and which reflects this fast growing field of engineering. We still feel that the book is rather special in its broad coverage of WSNs theory and applications and in its pragmatic solutions which has been presented to give those new elements entrants to the field for research deepening. In recent years, the use of WSN invade various areas which sets up several applications such as control of energy consumption in smart buildings, home entertainment systems, security systems, health care, remote control. Each application employed its own platform that restore the system very complex. For thus, we proposed a multi-tasks generic platform for all applications which includes heterogeneous hardware platforms. It covers many commands developed with a generic remote control interface. This generic interface is very adaptable & adjusts oneself and able to be accessed via Internet using 6LoWPAN protocol.
