I have some non-Tableau generated PDF reports that I'd like to link to from a dashboard on Tableau Server (v7.0.1). The server uses Tableau's built in authentication, not Active Directory. I'd like to have the files password protected using Tableau's security so the user doesn't have to login somewhere else

27 Jul 2012 Sometimes it helps during a presentation to be able to pull a file up without having to worry if the link to the website does not work. Especially, if it is a document in which the text exceed the limit of the text input option in the dashboard. Maybe it could be something in which the user can click on an image

Allan,. I was going for uploading the entire pdf on tableau desktop but even if charts in the pdf can be converted and uploaded as per tableau format, I think I can live with that. I haven't seen anyone doing this, so not sure if it is remotely possible. I am uploading the pdf file and maybe you can take a shot at it.
