Mark, Is there any special oil you have to use in the shuttle shift on a case loader backhoe 580C? I use quicklift from cenex in all my other tractors would this be OK? 14 Jun 2015 I just picked up a 1980 580c that has the 4 speed but no hi/low range shifter but it has a torque converter so it's semi-auto. 9 Jun 2016 Alright I've got a stupid question. I haven't used a real tractor in more than 15 years. Just compact tractors with Hydrostatic Transmissions. I've used Excavators and a couple front loaders, but the only tractors I used way back when had a simple manual transmission. Use clutch, select gear, engage and go.
I have a 1981 580c and the shuttle shift only goes in rev. No forward at all. It's a 4speed Any quick check? Idea?
