9 Oct 2012 Remove the front camera and earpiece. Next, we will remove the five Phillips head screws that hold the silver bracket on the top of the LCD assembly. Pull the front camera up and out of the way with your spudger or tweezers. You can now also remove the earpiece speaker.

As with every "do it yourself" and "Apple", you have to be careful and know that it will possibly void your warranty. 16 Jul 2012 You'll need to remove them all, keeping track of the washers under the 6 side screws. Once the screws are removed, carefully insert a thin metal or plastic tool between the metal frame and front glass panel along either the top or bottom edge and gently pry the panel loose.
Step 1 Rear Panel. Before you begin, discharge your iPhone battery below 25%. Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly. Remove the two 3.6 mm Pentalobe P2 screws next to the dock connector. During reassembly, we recommend you replace the 5-point screws with equivalent Phillips screws.
