At the last minute I phoned Wayne's RC Hobbies and changed my order to the Align GP750 gyro paired with an Align high speed tail rotor specific DS620 digital servo. Marilyn . Moving the servo arm manually, you can really get an appreciation of the precise engineering by how smooth the gear mesh is with zero slop.

Here's a link to the 780 manual - ms.align.com.tw/mpeg/manuals/0+DS520_en.pdf. On page 4 in the drawing where it shows 10mm - didn't work for me on my 500. I had to go to 7-8mm to increase the gyro gain and get rid of the slow tail wag. They do not call it correctly when mentioning "band width"
Newbie question. I'm setting up my gyro on a Trex 450 Sport V2. I have been following the Finless videos on the subject for the GP780. My status light turns red when exiting the setup mode. In the videos the status light turns green and is also green after initialization. I'm using the stock Align DS420 servo.
