The taste of forbidden fruit
I hunger for it so.
Fueled by greed and lust,
What I have can never please me.
Endlessly craving more,
A curse leading to an unpleased downfall,
Or a gift bestowed upon me to reach new heights.
Can I have what I want when that which I want,
is what I cannot ultimately have?
But no, I must be a fool.
In search of pure satisfaction I have settled for mediocricy.
Impatience has lead to doubt
And only as I shatter these illusions of selfpitty
Will I reach for what I desire
Obstacles cannot hinder one who does not see them as such.
For in understanding lies the solution.
Disapointments may take their toll on me
But only if I let them break me down will I have lost.
Greed only furthers My determination, so long as I do not let it consume me.
In my life there will be no walls to block my path,
For they shall only teach me to get over them.
In understanding lies the solution,
And obstacles cannot hinder Me, one who does not see them as such.

Woho, fick äntligen för mig att skriva lite poesi. Var ett tag sen, om man räknar bort den jag skrev för poesitävlingen i skolan.
