Som vissa av er kanske kommer ihåg, så har jag en liten konstnärlig del av min onda själ. Denna del har inte fått göra ifrån sig på ett tag, men idag smet den från sin bur och löpte vilt!

So without further ado, I present to you: Fear of Joy.

Joy, why do we fear you so?
Are we truly that frightened by our own vulnerability?
How come we chose to protect that which we believe to be our pride,
rather than take a leap towards that which might fill our hearts with joy?

Why, when you present yourself to us, do we see only that which might go wrong,
when we could relish in the hope of all that could go so wonderfully right?

How am I alive when I force my heart to feel naught, for the sake of not feeling pain?
How am I alive when I do not let my heart feel pain, as big a part of life as joy, for the sake of feeling just that,
Joy.
Happiness.
Friendship.
Love.

Why fear the losses when the result of not taking that leap of faith is, in its inactive self, a loss of life!

My friend, let not your life be forfeit only because of the fear you hold for the pain that might be.
Risk it, accept it, enjoy it! Rather feel pain for the loss of love, for atleast then you are alive,
and truly, your chance will come again.
And this I say, knowing in my heart that there is not a finite amount of chances you have to grab that joy,
but your days on this earth, in this life, with this heart. They are numbered.
Do not throw them away being dead inside, for then you will have but wasted your life, afraid.

Risk it.
