The Joker has escaped from Arkham and Batman must once again bring him in - once and for all. Unfortunately for the bat, there is something even more sinister than the Joker waiting in the alley for the dark knight detective..
Life isn't fair. The Joker escapes from Arkham Asylum. Bruce Wayne puts on his Batman suit, mask, and cape, and goes in pursuit. He's soon found the Joker and begins a fight to subdue the red-eyed, sneering villain. Then, suddenly, things take a surprising turn: the Joker becomes the least of Batman's worries. New enemies appear: it's as if he's found himself in another set of comic books. Can he hold his own?
This is a great short film. Batman, on the prowl looking for an old nemesis, stumbles into something else altogether.
It's amazing how the Batman fan culture has embraced this film; it's the Batman movie everyone's always wanted, but that the studios lack the guts to make.
Want a great Batman film...Take the people who made "Batman: Dead End" and combine that with the folks who write "Batman The Animated series" and you would have a holy Bat-extravaganza! I saw this film at the San Diego comic con and saw 5,000 fans go nuts! Many cheering individual shots! Most people enjoy this film for what it is. Some people have criticized the film's choice of cameos, Clark Bartram as Batman (I think he did a great job) or Andrew Keonig as Joker (Another good job)..But some people on some of the message boards have an obvious axe to grind and you can see who the wannabe-frustrated writers and filmmakers are!!!
This is a dark and gritty Batman film with gritty exciting action (A breath of realistic fresh air considering all of the wire work and Hong Kong-ese fights running rampant in too many films and TV shows). Kudos to everyone involved. Collora deserves to be directing big budget genre films and mark my words, he will be soon! I hope Warner Brothers also gets a wake up call and pays close attention to this 8 minute gem.
