An undercover Detroit cop navigates a dangerous neighborhood that's surrounded by a containment wall with the help of an ex-con in order to bring down a crime lord and his plot to devastate the entire city.
This movie is remake of French movie 'Banlieue 13'. Can a remake worse than its first version? This movie showed that the answer is 'YES!'.
This is his final movie but unfortunately Paul Walker is not as good as Cyril Raffaelli. It would have been better if Jason Statham played the role of Damien. I believe that he could be better than Paul Walker. David Belle played in both of the movies but even he was better in first version of the movie. Screenplay is nearly copy-paste. It has just little differences and I can say that Banlieue 13 has a better story and better scenes. However people who want to see an action movie may watch this movie. Not too long and not boring.
By the way, RIP to Paul Walker.

This is nothing but a cheap way to try and do action scenes and it takes us back almost 100 years in technical expertise and film making.
The only thing worse is the fake confetti explosions.
What are they doing, making these films 8 frames a second digitally so there is less detail and easier to hide mistakes?
The action scenes no longer have to be acted out because they are so shaky and grainy you can't see anything and only get a headache.
Old Godzilla films are far more professional looking.
If this is to be stopped we all need to make a big stink about it.
Whenever it features feet flying through the air, Brick Mansions is a pleasure. Asked to do anything else, it’s one stumble after another.
Both versions differ severely. For instance, the Extended Cut contains an entirely new soundtrack, David Belle has a different voice - at least that is the case in the English audio track - but he always has a French accent. A lot of the single scenes are recut and often have an alternate order. Some story details are altered, as well. And of course, violence is added to the Extended Cut which was probably removed from the Theatrical Version in order to get the PG-13 rating. a5c7b9f00b
