Aligning objects with guides in Adobe Illustrator. Illustrator; 7 Apr, 2010. I was reminded this past week that this often overlooked and handy trick also works with guides. Essentially

But you could also just drag ruler guides onto your page, snapping one to each margin, plus a guide for each division in between the margins. To distribute the guides evenly,
15 Feb 2017 Snap objects to anchor points and guides. Choose View > Snap To Point. Select the object you want to move, and position the pointer on the exact point you want to align with anchor points and guides. Note: Drag the object to the desired location.
10 Apr 2017 All you need to do then is make sure your guides aren't locked (View > Guides > Lock Guides) and use the regular align tools with the guides selected. So to align horizontally between two guides you select the object and the vertical guides on each side and hit the "Horizontal Distribute Center" align button.

31 Mar 2014 Learn to place guides in Illustrator in the position you want them to appear. Sometimes the differences between Illustrator and Photoshop are really annoying. So, clicking on it and choosing Horizontal Align Center will center the vertical guide and Vertical Align Center will center a Horizontal guide.
