I can only assume that the GF1/EP1's have something similar, but how does it know to use it since the old lenses have no contacts to let the camera it's even a manual focus lens to begin with? Does the cam still warn you when the image is out of focus? Can you have it zoom in on different areas? Obviously
3 Jan 2010 Maybe somebody can fill me in on how they deal with no autofocus and no TTL metering. I just bought a GF1 and realized that I might be able to use my Voigtlander f1.5 50mm lens. I don't even know if the GF1 will zoom the area of focus, or whether this setup will work with manual metering. What works?

4 Mar 2010 yes - the GF1 has had a firmware upgrade, to allow you to trigger MF assist zoom by pressing in the thumbwheel. I don't know whether you have to enable this feature perhaps someone with the GF1 can advise? I wish that Panasonic would implement this feature for the G1. They haven't done so yet.
