With his back against the wall, Batman turns to his closest allies to help him save Gotham City from the clutches of Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight's army. A familiar face also returns to give The Dark Knight a message he cannot ignore.
In the fourth and final installment of the Arkham Series, Bruce Wayne sets out into the night once again to thwart the plans of Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and Two-Face when they're supplied with weapons from the Penguin in their attempt to hunt the Knight and take his head.
Great Story And the way they builded Gotham City and the Batmobile makes you really be the Batman(which is the goal of this game). The Combat system is the same one that we all love and know but now Rocksteady has added some new cool moves!!!People who bought on PC will have a lot of glitches so i am suggesting buying it for a console!!The voice cast and the way the actors did their job is just AMAZING!!!Although personally i would like it too have more side missions and the thing i didn't like that much was the boss battles theycould have been better...but overall This an epic conclusion for an epic series!!Rockstaedy Did It Again!!! :)
Based on the DC Comics of the same name by Bob Kane, the game is a successor to Warner Bros. Games Montreal's 2013 video game, Batman: Arkham Origins, but set one year after the events of 2011 video game, Batman: Arkham City that was also developed by Rocksteady Studios. As the fourth and explosive finale installment in the Batman: Arkham video game series; Arkham Knight has Batman (Voiced by Kevin Conroy) facing off with both the Scarecrow (Voiced by John Noble) & the mysterious Arkham Knight (Voiced by Troy Baker) for the control of Gotham. Can Batman save Gotham or will the rogue villains make Gotham pay for locking them, up? Play the game to find out! Without spoiling the game, too much, I have to say, one might have to play the previous game, Batman: Arkham City to get most of the primary storyline. The game doesn't do a good job, explaining the previous themes like the Joker illness that well. Nor do they try to resolve it. In my opinion, this game ends, very anti-climax if you don't get 100%. Even if you get 100%, the open-ended ending was still, a bit odd. Lot of lingering questions still hasn't been answer. The twist and turns in the game are somewhat jarring. Some are really predictable and weak; while others are just annoying with how quickly, they turn sides. Cough Cough Arkham Knight Cough Cough. Don't get me wrong, the game tries to be risking with the 'supposedly' deaths, but the majority of game plays it safe, way too much. The story was pretty mediocre, in my taste. The plot does stray a little too far into the supernatural for my tastes. I found protecting overgrown flowers, kinda silly. I really wanted something remotely grounded in reality. The gameplay is a lot of fun with the open world structure. It's too bad, the city has been evacuated. It would be nice to save or intentionally beat up innocents people, just for fun. Still, there is tons of side missions, worth checking out. I just wish certain tasks weren't so repetitive. Things like the drone tank battles, or the endless amounts of driving to the Gotham City Police Headquarters got tired, really fast. As much, as I love the Batmobile being added. I felt like the game over does it with the Batmobile. It becomes a bit, unrealistic, when you see villains building race-tracks, just to allow Batman to use the car. I was really hoping for more, than that. I wish, the game gave us, a chance to use the Batcopter, Batcycle or even the Batboat. They barely allow the player, to use another other form of transportation. The Batwing, sadly is only used to deliver upgrades. You really don't get to fly it, much. Sometimes it was better off, just, gliding from place to place, by yourself. Presented from a third-person perspective, Batman's combat and stealth abilities move-set isn't that different from the other games. The new moves that they did add, were somewhat cartoony in the way, it's presented. The game introduces "Dual Play", in which players can seamlessly switch control of Batman to one of his allies, while in free flow combat. It was nice to play, as other characters, but I wish the game, had co-op mode. It would be nice to play with your friends. The new gadgets that Batman use were cool. I did like the voice changing machine. However, some of these new weapons look like they would kill somebody rather than stun them. That doesn't make sense in Batman Honor code. The detective skills are really fun to used, but there is little amount of missions, that needed it. Despite, some flaws, by far, the side-mission with the Riddler (Voiced by Wally Wingert) was the best mission of the game, because of that. I wish, the game had more on that. It's sad to say, the game lacks boss battles. I was really disappointment, how quickly, some of these top villains can easily be capture or defeated. The games also has tons of cameos and DC related references to fit your fun. Way too many to name here. More if you willing to pay downloadable content. These DLC are mostly story-driven missions, where you play as villains or the allies in their own little mini adventure. Other DLCs are game perks. My favorite of these DLC is the 1989's Batman Batmobile. It's so nostalgia. The game effects are very well-done. It really has that grimy, dystopian feel to the city from writer, Frank Miller. I just wish, the villains didn't look so gruesome. I really didn't like, most of their look. Anyways, the voice acting for the characters was alright. Mark Hamill returns for some excellent, darkly hilarious posthumous Joker lines and reenactments of some of the most famous scenes from the comics, and of course the definitive Kevin Conroy stars as Batman. Both are very memorable. The game is fun to play on Playstation 4 & XBOX One, but just note that the PC Windows version sucks, due to major performance issues, like often crashing. Don't buy that, version! Overall: It was alright. Still, worth playing.
Its not even a year. Arkham Knight takes place 9 months after the events of Arkham City. It is, as far as Rocksteady is concerned. After this, they probably want to move on to other game series and begin new franchises. If any future Arkham games are made, they will most likely be done by Warner Games Montreal, who made Arkham Origins. No. Rocksteady has opted to go with its own writing staff to finish the story. Prior to the game's final mission, Batman realizes he must surrender himself to Scarecrow to save Robin and Jim. However, if you don't do it, then nothing happens. You can continue the game as normal, the story mode just won't end until you surrender. Plus, every now and then Scarecrow will come on the PA to taunt Batman. Villains: The Scarecrow, The Arkham Knight, Two-Face, The Penguin, The Riddler, Harley Quinn. Firefly, Professor Pyg, Deathstroke, Deacon Blackfire, and Man-Bat.
Allies: Gordon, Oracle, Officer Cash, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman and Azrael
Also Poison Ivy sides with Batman, though it's as a tentative truce. She ends up sacrificing herself and dies saving Gotham from the Scarecrow's toxins
The Joker returns as a voice inside Batman's head as well as a series of hallucinations throughout the game. He "helps" Batman along the way, offering clues and insight Yes. Joker is in the game and in a large way. Though he's not alive, he is inside Batman's mind due to the effects of his blood still being inside Batman after the events in Arkham City. He shows up constantly throught out the game, talking to Batman and commenting on the events going on....
EDIT He don't see the Joker because of Jokers blood, but because of Cranes toxin. He is infected by the toxin in the beginning of the game, when he tries to save Gotham from the toxin Jason Todd. The game claims he became Red Hood after the events of it had ended. He initially took on a different persona and went after Batman, believing that Batman never cared about him and simply replaced him entirely. During the events of the game he was a supervillain with the goal of killing Batman and everyone he loves. Only at the end of it he changes his mind and becomes a vigilante, although, unlike Batman, he is willing to kill. a5c7b9f00b
