7 Sep 2017 Purpose of this post: In this write-up I compare the most powerful multi-class and dual-class builds in Baldur's Gate 2: First, the Berserker/Mage dual-class is compared with the Kensai/Mage dual-class; Second, both dual-classes are compared with the mighty Fighter/Illusionist multi-class which crowned my
Katanas can't be wielded by single class mages and that one particularly is perfect for a fighter/mage -the same class of its original owner- and by extention is the weapon of choice for dual class mages early on BG2. It is to be wielded off-hand coupled with an OP katana found relatively early on BG2, that's
28 May 2002 Hehehe, the goal of my game was to have a cool kensai>mage. I thought, wow, you really have to gain levels to be able to dual and I didnt got the option to dual. Then I read SixOSpades guide and found out that I need to be human, and Im an Elf. So im gonna start a new game (despite the progress I made )

15 Dec 2013 Hello all, the art of multi-classing and dual-classing is something foreign to me. Could someone point me in the direction of a step-by-step guide for this? People were taking Kensai at the start of baldur's gate 2 going to level 9 or 12 to max out HP rolls / Kai / Thac0 + dmg, then going mage dual class.
d) do I have to choose a magical school for the mage when dual-classing or is it pre-set as a sub-class? What would be a good choice to support the Kensai-role? e) Would you advise specialising in two-weapon-style or in sword and shield for extra defense? f) Which spells are a must have and which are
I was initially going to dual at 9 with the thought that I would be able to get my mage to 10 almost immediately. However, the fact that dualling at level 9 means you dual class almost immediately after Chateau Irenicus, so you are a weak mage with no good items, very few scrolls to memorize(for the XP), and
Soloing guide: The famous Kensai/Mage One of the most hated questions on most Baldur's Gate II forums are questions about the dual classed Kensai/Mage. This class is very versatile and powerful, because it combines the advantages of a potent fighter kit and useful mage spells, with no disadvantages what-so-ever (both
16 Apr 2003 and I mean stats, when to dual (Kensai -> Mage), which spells to choose and which weapons to go after.. a complete guide for it all ;) Maybe some You didn't indicate if you are soloing, which would solve the experience problem but make you ripe for the picking when you dual class. As for the "stuff" to
