14 Mar 2012 Here, Mark guides you through the steps to make your own origami bird. Start with a square of paper - you can use any paper but I'm using origami paper. Turn the paper over. With the paper white side up, take the right and left corners into the middle and down to the bottom corner.

This is another classic origami, the origami flapping bird. I think everyone has seen on of these at some point in their lives. Most people have probably also tried to fold this origami bird. You can learn how to fold this origami bird on this page.
Diagram and Video. This origami flapping bird is similar to the crane except for one important detail: it can flap its wings! Fold down the top of your paper. The tip of your paper should extend below the bottom edge that's making the base of the triangle. Fold the paper in half on a vertical crease. After you fold the paper in half, rotate the paper counter-clockwise 180-degrees so that it is vertical.

Open up the flap and crease the left and right sides so the top corner can meet the bottom corner. Step 7: Fold the left and right corners from the bottom to meet at the middle. Go to Next page to continue making the origami flapping bird.
