The "Create PDF" plugin has been working fine in FF -- even when FF updated to version 35 over the top of it, the plugin kept working. But my hard drive was failing, so I've replaced it and reinstalled everything, and now the Create PDF plugin
I'm assuming this is an extension that has no "remove" button? It's a side-loaded addon (or "system addon" I think). Disabling completely prevents it from loading. The actual addon was installed by 3rd party software and that's how it needs to be removed. Check the add/remove software list for your OS.
