Japan creates an artificial black hole device to trap Godzilla forever, but a test of the device creates new foes for Godzilla, car-sized dragonflies called meganula and their queen, Megaguirus.
Godzilla returns to terrorize Japan! This time, however, Japan has two new weapons to defend themselves. The Gryphon, a high-tech ship, and the Dimension Tide, a device that creates artificial black holes! During a test of the Dimension Tide, eggs appear in the city of Shibuya and hatch into terrifying Meganurons! These creatures need water to grow and flood the city of Shibuya by breaking underground water veins. As they multiply and grow, they start to feed on the energy of humans. After gathering enough energy, they transform in to giant dragonfly monsters called Meganuras! And now they target Godzilla for energy to feed to the larva of their queen, which eventually hatches into the terrifying 60-meter Megaguirus who also begins to attack Godzilla for his energy. Now a 3-way battle between Godzilla, the Megaguirus, and humans begins! Will Godzilla win? Will humanity survive?
Having seen Godzilla X Megaguiras, I can say that technically, it is one of the best Godzilla movies ever made. Now, I liked Godzilla 2000, but this totally and utterly blows it away! The way Godzilla is presented in the movie is absolutely superb. He has seldom looked more powerful. Megaguiras is such a better foe than G2000's Orga. The spfx are majorly improved from the last outing. I hope that Tristar releases it here soon in theaters or direct to video and DVD This film deserves great praise!
This is part 24 to Japan Godzilla series and it is so awesome. Can think of only two Godzilla movies that are better the first remake from 1998 and part 25 Godzilla M.o.t.h.r.a and King G.h.i.d.o.r.a.h giant monster on an all out attack. Maybe you do not agree maybe you think that this movie is better then Godzilla (1998). That's o.k. But if your mad about it you need to grow up fart heads. But still this is a great movie. See it. It as great special effects. It is very scary see it. It is not as scary as Godzilla (1998). But that is one of the scariest movies ever made. It is a follow up to Godzilla 2000 which is pretty good but this is better. The look and feel of it reminds me more of Godzilla (1998) which is the beast movie ever. Still this is very cool see it.
