There was actually a mom in Hawaii that got into racing her 1st gen Odyssey because her sons were racing their Hondas it was in an oooooooooooold issue of Stupid Street way back probably a decade ago. You can convert an Odyssey to manual and stuff all the H22 goodness into it if you have the time-

8 Oct 2008 Tech / Misc - 5-speed Manualy shifted Odyssey - There's no Odyssey-specific forum, so I guess my ride ends up here, but that's cool with me. I've already built the suspension with a Tein spring/shock setup, upgraded the brakes, and I did a manual transmission conversion using a 97 Accord LX unit.
The question is simply: What is required to put an Accord (other?) manual transmission into a 99-04 Odyssey? I am primarily I'm not much help, but I'm in the middle of a 5-spd swap in a 1st gen. It's all been A bunch of Honda engineers swapped a TSX 6speed trans into an Odyssey for the One Lap.
12 Apr 2008 All of the Odys use j series (J35) engines from second gen to present and the all have the same transmission bolt pattern. You would also need a clutch assembly, shifter, and a new ECU from a car with a manual transmission and J35 engine as well as custom axles and maybe custom shift cables.

7 Oct 2008 I know this isn't an Odyssey forum, but you guys seem the most knowledgeable regarding the questions I have. I have a 2002 Odyssey and the transmission is going out. I have always hated automatics, but I wanted an Odyssey, so at the time I had no choice. Now the idea of a 6sp manual is very intriguing,
