14 Feb 2012 Volunteers are requested for a litter clean up at Wintour's Leap on Sunday 26 February. We last did this There's room for 2-3 people to clean the area round the Easy Way Down on abseil ropes, but there's also plenty of stuff that's accessible on foot, so there's no need for everyone to bring gear. The gem of the Wye Valley. Superb limestone, outrageous overhangs, technical faces, cracks, flakes, nice views, you name it. Mainly multi-pitch routes to about 90 metres. Note that the classic GO Wall outing "King Kong" suffered a rock fall between the publication of the old guide book in 1997 and the new one in 2007,
16 May 2017 Wintour's Leap. Wye Valley & Forest of Dean. Long line of west-facing crags above the Wye, rising to nearly 100 metres. Mostly quarried in the past. Mixed ethic; mainly trad but some sport. The land above the crag contains a number of private gardens. Crag information
PS This is a personal statement, not an official BMC position, reflecting my close involvement with Wintour's climbing and access over 40 years, not to mention the . Until this is confirmed please could you bear in mind that the climbing guidebook to the area says that the quarry is separately owned to the rest of the climbing
