Yesterday I was out on a OpenRoad tour / I saw Sedona, Flagstaff but OFC the highlight of the day:
THE GRAND CANYON!
Do you know the story of HOW it got the name Grand Canyon? Well, I'll tell you -
There was a native American who had befriended a young leiutenant and told him about the most beautiful place he had ever seen and the world will ever know! The young man didn't believe him but after a looong time of convincing the leiutenant finally gave in - was given leave by his superior and went with the Indian to this "remarkable place"....
When they got there and the young man stood at the EDGE of the Canyon the first words that came out of his mouth was (according to the Priest whom accompanied them)
"ooooh what a Grand Canyon!"
ergo - the name Grand Canyon (thank god that they didn't include the "oh"....)
THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING TIME OF MY LIFE PEOPLE!! YOU HAVE TO SEE THE CANYON WITH YOUR OWN EYES!!
