25 Jan 2012 Cannot open the boot lid or the folding roof. I have managed to empty the boot through a small trap door behind the rear seat arm rest,and I have managed to close the plastic cover. Fuses are OK. Everything locks and unlocks with the remote but the lid and roof will not open. Any suggestions?

Hi , I have a 2008 Astra convertible, the roof is closed and will not open and the boot will not open via the boot release button. Unfortunately the twin top roof is quite a complex beast, probably why vauxhall have dropped it for the cascada. How do you manually activate the hydraulic pump please?

24 May 2011 If the manual doesn't help you there is no manual override, what you need to do is get a helper to lift the roof enough manuallyyou need a helper, one each side to keep it straight If you take it to a Vauxhall dealer, they should be able to open it using plug in diagnostic equipment ( Tech 2 machine )

11 Jan 2011 Car: astra cabby/ l200 animal/ iveco daily. just been and looked in mine as the plastics are off in the boot and there is a load of relays behind the drivers side plastics and the is a manual pump in there too. just use your wheel brace in the red bit on the pump so you can get the hood back up. hope this helps.

At the moment my car is stuck on my drive (having driven it 3 miles earlier with roof half up, half down!) and the roof will not budge. Have it booked in with Vauxhall tomorrow morning, they are charging ?60 to look at it, then I'm worried what they will try to charge me. Should this be done free of charge does anyone know as
