origin s faster than steam

I was gifted a TF2 code and this was my first time ever using it. I have Gigabit internet but usually only get 30-40 MB/s on Steam (don't think... that's probably partly right so EA put a higher bandwidth cap on their downloads compared to Steam. Still, some games with large amount of data I find myself downloading it with Origin because it's so much faster. edit: damn.. even after I posted my down speed went up to 7.5mb/s. I'll probably never see those down speeds. I noticed Origin downloaded games a lot faster than Steam, on origin I get around 2 or 3mb/s and on Steam 800kb/s to 1mb/s.
