23 Apr 2011 oc, I run a full manual valvebody in my 26 on the street. It is a fully built and dynoed unit from J.W. Perf. here in Florida. No modulator, at least in the P/G. I also have have a custom 3500 stall converter built just for my truck. You DEFINATELY have to remember to leave from a stop in 1st gear. Not sometimes

TH350 is a pretty tough unit, tougher than many give them credit for. If you do use a manual VB , in a street car I would HIGHLY recommend you use one that DOES retain engine braking. If it doesn't have engine braking, it means it does not use the braking bands designed into the unit. So on a TH350 or

1 Mar 2005 They may be unrelated but I have heard that reconfigeration of the valve body to accommodate forward pattern shifting or engine braking sacrifices forward shifting to some degree. I'm considering either TCI's or Turbo Action's full manual vavle bodies for the TH350 and want the fastest shifting vavle body
Alot of them are available with full engine braking, engine braking in 3rd only, and the TH350's also come in different options. but if you dont there *might* be a valvebody built to have engine braking in first and second that is a "manual" vavlebody but that design would be a "foward pattern". i dont know of
