To show that you believe climate change is an important and urgent
issue, and help to enhance the awareness of the Poznan climate
conference: WEAR A GREEN SHIRT on the 1st of December!
On Monday the 1st of December the United Nations Climate Change
Conference - COP14 - is initiated in Poznan, Poland. World leading
politicians, businessmen, scientists and media gather to debate and
set the agenda for international efforts to tackle the challenge posed
by climate change. This is the most prestigious forum of political
discussion in the scope of climate protection, and the decisions made
will be of great importance for how the world will fight and cope with
climate change. It is also a milestone towards Copenhagen 2009 and
strategies for a post Kyoto protocol climate action plan.
The meetings in Poznan and Copenhagen will set the framework for how
the humanity will meet the challenge of anthropogenic climate change.
The results from these meetings will shape the very foundations of
life for generations to come. We wish to stress to our leaders the
historic importance of this meeting, and urge them come up with a
prompt action plan to save the climate and create conditions for
attractive development and human wellbeing in the future.
