Because I will never forget about you
I will always remember how I looked into your eyes that day.
I saw how you looked back to me and it hurt.
I will always wonder if you knew what I knew.
If I had known what you felt,
I would never have pushed you so far.
If I had seen your calls for help,
I would never have tried so hard.
Today I know you were in pain,
but I can’t make it right again.
Every morning I wake up and hope that you will be back,
but I know you never will.
Today I know so much more than I did before.
Today I know what kind of hurt I put you through.
I wish I had understood what you tried to tell, but now it’s too late.
Now I’m standing alone with a question which is too late to ask.
I wonder if you had fun, even with your pain.
