14 Oct 2012 Fill the both cavities of the cake pan 2/3 full. Put it on a cookie sheet before putting it in the ovenjust in case you accidentally overfill it, the sheet will catch it. Bake for 65-75 minutes at 325 degrees. After removing the skull cake from the oven, allow the cake to sit for 15 minutes on a wire cooling rack.
Has anyone made the 3d skull cake using Wiltons 3d pan? I just make the cakes but I need to know the best way to put the face half onto the back half without the face sliding down. I can't find anything on you tube or any tutorials and the directions that came with the pan do not go into any detail. 10 replies.

4 Nov 2010 I purchased the Dimensions® 3-D Skull Pan at Michael's but Amazon always carries it too. I first started with Duncan Hines cake mixes because as you know you'll always see the Wilton seal of approval on Duncan Hines cake mixes. I also spray all my pans now with the Bake Easy™ Non-Stick Spray.
