13 Mar 2015 Breast Cancer Screening Guidelines. If you are 40–49, talk to your healthcare provider about having a mammogram. If you are 50–74, go for a mammogram every two years at the Ontario Breast Screening Program. If you are 30–69 and think you may be at high risk for breast cancer, talk to your physician
(or, if MRI contraindicated, screening breast ultrasound). Screening Women ages 30 to 69 identified as high risk (see eligibility criteria). Eligibility breast cancer. • No current breast implants. • No screening mammogram within the last 11 months. • Physician referral. • Valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan number.
Breast Cancer Screening for Women at High Risk. The Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) screens women ages 30 to 69 at high risk for breast cancer, with annual breast mammography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (or, if MRI is not medically appropriate, screening breast ultrasound).
Women 30 to 69 years of age identified as high risk (see eligibility for criteria). Screening mammogram and screening breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) every year (or, if appropriate, screening breast ultrasound) at OBSP high risk sites.
Women at High Risk for Breast Cancer. The High Risk OBSP screens women ages 30 to 69 who are at high risk for breast cancer using a combination of mammography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (or, if MRI is contraindicated, screening breast ultrasound).
