Frank Martin puts the driving gloves on to deliver Valentina, the kidnapped daughter of a Ukrainian government official, from Marseilles to Odessa on the Black Sea. En route, he has to contend with thugs who want to intercept Valentina's safe delivery and not let his personal feelings get in the way of his dangerous objective.
Toxic waste bubbles in a ship waiting permission to dock in Odessa. Frank Martin turns down a job in Marseilles, referring it to a pal. A short time later, the pal, wounded by gunfire, crashes his car into Frank's living room and dies, leaving a young woman in the back seat. The employer of the dead man shows up, forces Frank to take the job, snaps a bracelet on his wrist that will explode if Frank gets more than 75 feet from his car, and sends Frank on a journey east with the young woman and a trunk full of something. She's Valentina, nearly mute. Can Frank figure out what's going on, deliver the package, and escape alive? And what does the ship have to do with it?
When I went to see this movie I had hopes that it would be at least slightly entertaining, but alas, I was wrong. First off I do have to admit that the film had some cool fight scenes however...the rest of the film was really bad, the girl was really annoying and the antagonist didn't seem very scary and was actually rather pathetic. The film was really bad compared to the first and second of the series. Furthermore, Frank was too much of a one man army for my tastes. If you really want to see a good action flick try something like Shooter or the Borne movies. If you have already seen this then I feel sorry for you but if you haven't seen it then don't waste your precious money.
Frank Martain (Jason Statham) was asked to do a job for Johnson. When he refused, they got another guy to do the job and he failed. Then when Statham is forced to do the job, he gets the girl and drives around to the places he is asked. He was asked to deliver the girl to Johnson, but if Johnson had already had her, what wads the point in having Statham deliver her. The main plot was to bring Valentina from Johnson back to Johnson. If you were looking for a lot of action, then the movie was good, with all the fighting scenes and chase scenes, but if you wanted a good plot, then the movie was pretty bad. The scene in which he is on the bike chasing the car was pretty intense, and of course when he was driving in the middle of the trucks on two wheels.
For those disappointed in the grim, gritty feel of the latest James Bond movie and who long for the absurdity of the Roger Moore-era entries, Transporter 3, ought to fit the bill.
The song that sounded like the 'Stones' was in actual fact 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' by Iggy Pop & The Stooges. "Set It On Fire" by Eve. a5c7b9f00b
