2 Mar 2010 quokka's post notwithstanding, I think a GOOD guide can be a wonderful way to see something as large as that museum. Answer 1 of 9: I am not sure if this point has been raised before (but I was certainly not aware on this), but in my view, the audio guide of Uffizi Gallery is by far the worse I have used. This may have Lucky I had Rick Steve's FREE audio guide with me - while it was short (about an hour I think) - it was very good. I can follow

It's difficult to chat with your fellow travelers unless you press pause and pull your headphones off your ears. It drains your battery.
