A man named Bill started to get tired while driving late one night. He saw a tiny little motel along side the highway and decided to stop to get some rest and to continue his journey the next day. Inside the lobby, he spoke to the manager to see if there were any rooms available.
The manager told him that there were only two rooms empty and they were right next to each other. One of them was haunted and the other one wasn’t.
Bill was surprised to hear this, but rather than travel to the next motel, he yawned and agreed to stay in the room that was not haunted.
By the time he flipped the deadbolt closed on the hotel room door, he had forgotten what the manager had told him about the room next door. He was so tired that he fell asleep almost immediately.
Around 2:00 am he woke up and noticed a faint light coming from a hole in the wall near the head of the bed. He got up and leaned against the wall to look through the hole. He could see the haunted room and noticed a lovely looking woman dressed in a ragged old white dress standing inside with her backed turned, facing away from him. She stood very still and didn’t move, so he laid back down and fell asleep again.
Later, during the night, he woke up again and again he noticed the hole. When he looked through it a second time he couldn’t see anything on the other side. No furniture. Nothing. All he saw was the color red.
Confused, he shrugged it off and went back to bed.
The next morning, while checking out of the motel, the manger asked him “Did you see the ghost of the girl?"
Bill replied, “Yeah, but she actually looked pretty. She didn’t look like a ghost at all."
The manager said, “You probably didn’t see her eyes. They’re bright red!"
