6 Dec 2008 I have read about using 10w30 before, the manual just says Saab synthetic manual trans fluid. fuss about the saab synthetic stuff. its not that expensive, and with only 5 needed for flush thats about $50. you'll spend alot more that on gas and motor oil long before you have to flush your transmission again.

10 Jun 2008 Fluid #2 - 10w-30 non-synthetic motor oil: Did not like, transmission was too notchy, gear changes just did not feel right to me. . As far as what fluid to use, i've read that the saab MTF0063 is compatible with all manual saabs excluding the 9-3 SS. i've also read that using MTF0063 is a big nono in 9000's
