Though initial reviews have shown the earlier versions to have clicking problems when recording video, my version did not seem to have that fault. I have a 5N and found that to be the best way. If you have a Mac the latest iMovie or Final Cut Pro X both can both read and edit AVCHD files. Sony's included video software does not work with the Mac. If you have Windows use Sony's software. Other Windows compatible video software will also read
