Bob Parr (Mr. Incredible) is left to care for the kids while Helen (Elastigirl) is out saving the world.
After the events of The Incredibles (2004), Elastigirl (Helen) is sent on a mission to make supers legal again. Mr. Incredible (Bob) is left to care for Jack-Jack, Violet, and Dash. When a dangerous new threat arises, it is up to the family to neutralize the threat and save the day once again.
This movie is worth seeing more than once. It has everything you need in a superhero/family movie: Family moments, Heartwarming moments, everything. It has a really, really good plot with a really good and perfect villain, and of course it has everything you have asked for in a sequel. This movie is worth seeing a million times over.
I have to admit, when the trailers came out for The Incredibles 2, I had absolutely no interest in it, despite loving the first film. But I was invited to see it, and it blew away my expectations.
The animation is one of the most eye-stunning I've seen in an animated movie. Everything from the characters to the environment stood out. The city looks amazing and highlights the retro aspect of the world.
The big praise I give it is that it did not lose anything that made the first film so great. It did not turn into a generic cash-grab sequel with a shallow plot. The family aspects are as strong as ever. Many times, you expect the film to follow certain cliches, but it does not.
One of my favourite Pixar movies ever. It is a must see.
Brad Bird’s strong script and direction elevate this animated adventure to new heights. Instead of trying to copy or parody the superhero films of the past 14 years, Incredibles 2 embraces what made its first outing so memorable: The Parr family and their willingness to work together in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
