4 Aug 2009 I am a little bored with the auto in my xr6 Ute and wouldn't mind converting it to manual. i don't really want to sell and buy another. what costs would be involved and how long would it take? i have access to a hoist and workshop if i could do the swap easily in a day or 2. 6 speed would be nice, but probably

Its a performance car. Performance car = Manual, its just the way it should be :P. If it was just a standard Falcon then an auto would be fine. you will squeeze some more power & acceleration out of a manual gearbox (+ after my old BA's gearbox I am never going near a ford auto again :P). How hard would it be to swap an auto out of a ba xr8 and put a manual in it. Besides the box itself, pedels what Would a ford dealer be worth considering to do the swap or they just try to charge to much. I found a car around the to pay for the swap. What diff is used in the falcon, is it a locally made diff.
