Specialized do do some alu inserts, but the weight the add is more than the difference between the EC90 and the EC70 or even better the Ritchey WCS,

Great product. Exactly as described. Facilitates using different hand positions. Facilitates climbing since you will be pulling on bar ends while pushing with your feet in the opposite direction. Easily installed after using box knife to carefully trim off ends of grips. Also, used basketball needle to blow air under grips to loosen
