A teenager girl escapes from a laboratory with the power to dismember people with her multiple invisible arms. On her way out, she gets shot and becomes a double-personality person, half-sweet, half-murderer. On her way, she meets people who have suffered the biggest horrors possible. Together, they will face the evil organization who uses other girls to track the original one.
Two university students come across a seemingly harmless girl named Lucy, unaware that she's actually a mutant serial killer with a split personality.
Very nice anime I wish there were more episodes and Lynn Okamoto continue this but there is only 13 episodes, but these episodes contain all emotions that one would find in any long anime, contains a lot of bloodshed,gore,mutilation,feels,love etc.If you are looking for an anime that will make you cry your heart out then this is the one.This anime won't let you down for sure it will take you for a ride you have never been on.The opening song is really great know as Lilium the theme of the opening song is the theme played when Kotha ( the protagonist )opens his music box. He meets Lucy at an young age. Lucy on the other hand is bullied by everyone in her school for having horns and is even let down by the girl she thought as a friend she then goes on a rampage when she sees her pet stray puppy being beat down by her bullies and kills them all. she then takes a vow to kill everyone.When she is sitting down near a tree where she buried her dog she meets Kotha and is about to kill him when she is stooped by Kohta been amused by the horn on her head she takes a liking for him and they go out and play but each night Lucy murders a family to live in their home. The story goes on, the manga on the other hand is different from the anime and is more longer and elaborate with more characters it too will make you cry at the end.Hope you enjoy
First of all start with the fact that there are only 13 episodes in total. With each episode about 25 minutes we are talking here about 3 hours and 15 minutes, like a longer film.
It is hard to describe the anime, I have to start with the fact that it is very simple. All characters have the hair with the same color as the eyes, all eyes are big and moist and there are a lot of blank expressions or rather radical ones that remind me of children anime. It also has some of the annoying clichés one has become used to see in Japanese anime: girls that are insanely in love with an awkward guy that keeps finding himself in embarrassing situations; evil head honcho that just has to be heartless and power driven; family connections taken to extreme (everybody has a sister, mother, father, brother involved in all of this).
On the good side, the story is rather interesting: there is a new sub species of man that has the ability to project very powerful telekinetic hands that can rip a person to pieces (and often do) and that is researched inside a lab where they are kept and experimented upon like rats and Guinea pigs. A lot of anger comes out of this, but also the desire for human affection.
Now this premise is a rather good one, the title and the music also promise a lot. Unfortunately the promise is unfulfilled and we lose the series to what I call "Japanese telenovels". With a more professional animation and a good direction this could have been a very good and emotional anime movie of one hour and a half.
It is hard to describe the series, the best formula that comes into mind is Sailor Moon meets X-Men. I can't believe I am the only one commenting it :-?
