This is a cold drip device from Iwaki. The top is plastic with a fine filter. The bottom is a heat resistant glass flask. The valve is pre-set to about three drips every 2 seconds and not adjustable, compared to other typical Asian cold drip devices with adjustable valves. There are markings for coffee and water.
3) Carefully tap the coffee into the filter cup. Fill the cup with 3 tablespoons of water to pre-wet the grounds. 4) Place the water/drip section on top and fill it to the where you see the small triangle (it's subtle so you have to really look for it). You do want to make sure this part of the maker is clean.
