Click on the empty imprint slots and add the desired imprints. You must enter two imprints; you cannot begin a combined incubation with only one imprint. However, the imprints do not need to be from the same pet; two imprints from different Kubrows or Kavats can be chosen for a chance to combine traits. Kubrow imprints
To obtain the quest, you'll need to go to Fossa, Venus and assassinate the Jackal. This will give you "Howl of the Kubrow." Go to your codex, click quests, then click Howl of the Kubrow, and begin at the bottom right of your screen. This will put Howl of the Kubrow as your active quest.
With the exception of the quest mission to acquire a Collar for their new Kubrow, the breeding process in the quest that guides the player through is the same as the breeding process for additional Kubrow later on. In total, the player must have a working Incubator segment, a Kubrow Egg, and an Incubator Power Core.
Howl of the Kubrow is an optional Quest introduced in Update 14.0. This short quest tasks

Is there any information on how or what gets passed down from two different imprints? For instance can you get a color that isn't on either
