I decided to take a risk and obtain one of these, a "Chinese copy" of the top-end Nikon SB910 - the Meike MK910. (Not very subtle model naming!) full flash (1/1), and varying fractions down to 1/128. The second set of test images was taken with the MK910 in manual mode, at full power - 1/1 - and at 1/32, 1/64 and 1/128.
I did not configure MK910 yet (beyond removing annoying beep) and did not read the manual fully. But I was anxious to take few pictures to see if one is different than the other and so far I really don't see much difference. 1 Jan 2015 No TTL available in Commander CLS mode. No AA mode. S1 (film) and S2 (digital) dumb slave modes available - but S2 was found to be quite unreliable. Only metric units (Metres) available for distance information. Output power is much, much less than an SB-910 and less than published in the manual.
