so sad to see great actors gets a terrible script!!! i stopped watching it in the middle... still hopes to see Amy makes me laugh again in the future... i hates it when movies that i've been waiting for gets this feeling, especially when there is a huge potential!! still, i love them both, but i wouldn't forget to remember they can be too silly to pick good script. disappointed.
This movie was hilarious. Apparently bashing Amy Schumer is the trendy thing to do right now, so it doesn't surprise me that a bunch of people would flood IMDb to give this movie bad reviews it doesn't deserve. Even if you aren't a fan of Amy Schumer's standup, this movie was loaded with plenty of belly laughs. Sure, there's a couple vagina jokes, but the movie doesn't revolve around them. Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer are perfect together. Their mother/daughter relationship felt believable and I actually cared about their characters. Wanda Sykes, Joan Cusack, and Ike Barinholtz are great also. It may be a bit of an awkward movie to watch with your mom, but I saw it with mine and she really liked it.
The noxious self-absorption of straight white women that Schumer has sent up so blisteringly on her Comedy Central show is extolled more than it is lampooned.
