A group of bank robbers find their multi-million dollar plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.
A seasoned team of bank robbers, including Gordon Jennings (Idris Elba), John Rahway (Paul Walker), A.J. (Hayden Christensen), and brothers Jake (Michael Ealy) and Jesse (Chris Brown) Attica successfully complete their latest heist and lead a life of luxury while planning their next job. When Ghost (Tip T.I. Harris), a former member of their team, is released from prison he convinces the group to strike an armored car carrying $20 million. As the "takers" carefully plot their strategy and draw nearer to exacting the grand heist, a reckless police officer (Matt Dillon) inches closer to apprehending the criminals.
Surprised at the ratings of this movie. Yeah, there were a couple far fetched scenes, but I thought it was a great movie! All of the actors did very well in this film. T.I. needed some better lines and his acting needs work. Hayden Christensen did great in Jumper and had a great performance in this film. Paul Walker still seemed to have the same style as in his past Fast and Furious roles. There was a good feel to the characters. The Town just got boring for me and this film surpassed it big time. This movie had more action sequences! One of my favorites! Everyone is open to their own opinion of this film, but I hope this helps.
Who doesn't want to watch a movie with actors that have the looks and the talent!? Minus TI, he should just stick to music. I thought the movie was entertaining. It kept my attention throughout the whole hour and a half. Its not a movie that will stand out in my mind for a long time. Its not one of those movies i would watch over and over but it is definitely worth seeing at least once. The story line is a typical but its just a different twist to a typical robbery movie. Over all I say its a good movie, i liked it. Kept me entertained. Its one of those movies you have to see how the end turns out. Do they away or do they get caught?
Did I mention the dialogue? Well, really the armored car driver put it best when he said, "We're in trouble here…" No joke.
