Congratulations for a wonderful and entertaining series. I love it very much. Every Sunday night, at the channel of Space (Canada), I am a good listener. I love all the characters of the series. Of course, the main character is very well acted and I enjoy the mimic. The storyline is well written. I enjoy very much the ensemble of the series (so far). It is entertaining. I like the main character and enjoy the way his performance is toward every woman he meets. Very suave in his own way. His sidekick is well groom and speak very well. An Englishman in his manner and the way he stand when he speaks to Dresden, makes him very much a person instead of a ghost. In general, like I said previously, a very good TV series. CONGRATULATIONS again and I am looking forward for future show. BRAVO!
Yes, it's not the books. But here's the secret... IT'S TELEVISION. It's an interpretation for a different medium, and in this case, it's very successful. Thanks to iTunes, I have devoured the entire 1st season in about a week.
In a time where the major networks only seem to care about so-called "reality", instant fame, or the next spin-off of CSI, the smaller specialty networks like Sci-Fi are a relief. They can take the chance on what have become the truly original and highly praised shows. It would make me sad if Dresden did not get a second season, yet I am pleased that a show like this can be made for even one season. It's comforting to know that creative television still has supporters, that it will still be offered to people of more discriminating taste.
Bravo to The Dresden Files and to the Sci-Fi channel for continuing to bring intelligent television to those who still recognize such an idea.
