A group of eccentric assassins are fed up with Gunther, the world's greatest hitman, and decide to kill him, but their plan turns into a series of bungled encounters as Gunther seems to always be one step ahead.
I had never heard of this film, and picked it from a menu purely based on the brief text description. It sounded potentially funny.
Having no idea of the cast, kept us guessing who could be Gunther - had we seen trailers or read reviews prior to watching, the experience might have been disappointing. Diving in with no expectations, however, kept us well entertained all the way to the end of the film!
Yes, you could often guess what was going to happen, and most characters were stereotypical, but it was still good fun. We weren't expecting a serious work of art.
Blake's nervous chain smoking was also refreshing as you don't really see that much in films, these days, with smoking having become so non-PC..
If you have managed not to see any trailers or read any spoiler reviews yet, do yourself a favour: go and watch this film with no expectations. It's actually quite hilarious!
Comedy is subjective, I guess, but this is a bad movie. BAD. Unfunny. A complete waste of time. It really looks like it was improv-ed by idiots. And that's an insult to idiots.
Although the production is sporadically amusing, it feels like a 20-minute short that was expanded to feature length to its considerable detriment.
