So I’ve watched the movie, the movie that I was born to watch. Splendid. I loved it with all i possess dearly. But the books have always been captivating and much better. The movies = spectacular, just how it portrays the characters and the setting in the book.
But one single annoying mistake that could have been avoided and brought a huge aspect of sense to the movie as it did in the book. This could be a spoiler so don’t read on if you haven’t seen the movie or even read the book!
At the end, for those who know this and seen, The last fight when the rare “Incantatem" occurs, right before that, in the book, Harry teases and annoys Tom with a great and wonderful speech. He talks of Rowling’s intentions of the books; Love. Love and friendship. Talked of how things can be different when you have friends and when you never give up on each other. How you will be betrayed (like Tom was and would be) if you seek the wrong. Other than that into other explanations that shook Voldermort speechless such how the Elder wand didn’t belong to him, how he has accepted his faith and the upcoming death someday.
Harry was brilliant. Pure brilliant. He had accepted his death which Voldermort would never be able to do. He didn’t fear death nor Voldermort. He had completed everything in his way and he knew he would defeat Voldermort. Believe enough, don’t be afraid and you can reach what ever you set yourself to do.
The movie just bailed out on this one. This is like the most important quotes of the series in my opinion. You read them all books, you experience these powerful words and your heart beats till you can feel this warm feeling that you can do anything as long as you believe in what you are to do and, you’ve been with Harry till the very end and nothing could possibly go wrong.
When I watched the movie… I was disappointed. I cried, not because the movie was over, because it had no meaning. It was just a stereotypical movie that came to a happy end. I did cry though, for the amazing adventure I faced each night before I went to bed, each time I opened and flipped a page. It was all over.
That mistake was a big mistake.
Best. Movie. Ever. <3
