gen 2 came along 1970 in 2 fases fase 1 you could find in a ss version a z28 version and the rs version fase 2 1972-1981 z28, rs and the new lt version,
gen 3 the first generation without the corvette engine wich was the basic idea of the camaro sport coupe with 4 seats but with just as much power as the corvette, evidently in the end of the production years the z28 model came with a word added to the z28 logo IROC Z28 only with automatic transmission but it had the 350 tpi fuelinjected 5.7l v8 with aluminium heads from the corvette c4 gen 4 also came in 2 fases fas 1 1993-1997 with either 3.4liter fuelinjected v6 at 163hp, the 3.8liter fuel injected v6 with 193 hp or the z28 model with 285hp fuelinjected lt1 v8 engine, in 1997 the first ss in 25years was introduced in the f-body gen 4 camaro with the lt4 hotcam engine at 313 brake horsepowers, fas 2 was available with in rs, z28 and ss with 2 different engines both completely made from aluminium, the 3.8 liter six cylinder or the ls1 corvette engine from the corvette c5,
